Robotic Partial Nephrectomy

Robotic Partial Nephrectomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to remove a portion of the kidney affected by a tumor or other abnormal growth. During the procedure, a surgeon uses a robotic system to remove the affected tissue while preserving as much healthy kidney tissue as possible.

The robotic system consists of a console where the surgeon sits and controls the robotic arms, which are equipped with surgical instruments and a high-definition camera. The camera provides a 3D view of the surgical site, allowing the surgeon to see the area in great detail.

The robotic system allows for greater precision and control during the surgery, resulting in less blood loss, less pain, and a faster recovery time compared to traditional open surgery. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes 2-4 hours to complete.

Robotic Partial Nephrectomy is a safe and effective treatment option for kidney tumors, with a high success rate in removing the affected tissue while preserving kidney function. However, like any surgical procedure, there are risks and potential complications, which should be discussed with a healthcare provider.
